CRYPTOGRID, Research on Reconfigurable Architectures for Cyber-Security in the Smart Grid (Phase II)
- Company / Centre:
- -
- Period:
- from 2015 to 2016
- Description:
-
The main objective of this project is the development of a technology that meets the requirements of Real Time, Safety and Cyber-security and that can be implemented in FPGA type electronic devices. For this the specific objectives are:
Provide Ethernet-based industrial networks with means of security against intrusions, especially in relation to authentication and encryption, allowing their use in environments where security is paramount.
Facilitate industrial communication networks by establishing redundant channels of communication between the different systems that make up an industrial complex.
Enable real-time control applications over Ethernet networks by creating hardware acceleration modules for cryptographic elements.
Provide TLS (Transport Layer Security) standard security mechanisms for networks.
