This project concerns Cyber-Secure CPPS Gateways. For a device of these, the starting base-platform will be a cutting edge Xilinx FPGA, actually from the Zynq family. The latter, in addition to a large part of programmable logic, integrates a double ARM processor core. This “processor-FPGA” duality provides a huge added value to this particular case, since the software functionalities can be extended and made more flexible, by means of acceleration and co-processing units, implemented in the part of the programmable logic. This concept is called SoC –System on Chip-, since all the main functionality of a system can be implemented in an only chip –i.e., the Zynq family of Xilinx.
