Description:

This thesis proposes interleaved PWM strategies to reduce the RMS current in the DC bus capacitor of multiphase inverters. An analytical formulation based on double Fourier integrals is developed to characterize input current harmonics, optimize the interleaving angle, and validate DZSI-PWM techniques in DTP configurations.

A new method for calculating the harmonic distortion factor (HDF) is also proposed for 30-DTP configurations, demonstrating advantages over conventional time-domain approaches. Experimental validation confirms the validity of the model and identifies MINMAX-PWM and D-PWM3 techniques as the most suitable for optimizing system performance at both the DC input and AC output.
