Jesus Ferreiro is a Professor of Economics at the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU, in Bilbao, Spain. He is an Associate Member of the Centre for Economic and Public Policy, University of Cambridge, an Associate Member of the NIFIP, University of Porto, a Forum for Macroeconomics and Macroeconomic Policies (FMM) Fellow, and Trustee of the Association for Social Economics. His main research interests are macroeconomic policy, labour market, international economy, financialisation, institutions, and Post-Keynesian economics.
He has published more than one hundred articles on these and other related topics in books and peer refereed indexed journals. He has 3 quality research periods (sexenios) in the field of Economics. He has a large experience participating as IP or researcher in research projects and contracts at regional, national and international (European Union) levels.
He has also workerd as external referee of research projects for different national agencies, like the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council in Canadá, the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (CINECA) in Italy, and the ANVUR (Agenzia Nacionale di Valutazione del Sistema Universitario e della Ricerca) in Italy
He has a large experience as referee for national and international indexed journals, and has for international publishers like Elsevier, Lexington Books and Routledge
