Degree in Computer Sience (UPV/EHU – 1992), master in Artificial Intelligence (Katholieke Unibersiteit Leuven, Belgium -- 1993), PhD in robotics (UPV/EHU – 2004) and lecturer at the Faculty of Informatics since 1996. Academic Secretary of the Faculty of Informatics (2014-16) and program coordinator of the Doctoral Programme in Informatics Engineering since 2017.
I’m the head of the robotics section of the RSAIT research group, acknowledged as A type group by the Basque University System. She has (co)supervised 4 PhD thesis, (co)authored many research articles, book chapters and contributions to international conferences., as well as reviewer in diverse international conferences and journals.
Research areas: intelligent robotics. We focus on developing methods for making humanoid robots act showing socially accpetable behaviors. Robot navigation and communication is also a research topic. I contribute to disclose the current development state of social robots thorugh multiple divulgative public events (ZientziaClub, Zientzia astea, JakinMina, Kultura Zientifikorako katedra, Jakinduriek mundua erreko dau!).
