I graduated with a Ph.D. thesis in May 2007 at the University of Crete under the supervision of Mihalis Papadimitrakis. My thesis was concerned with estimates for oscillatory integrals arising as multipliers of singular integrals along lower dimensional varieties. Since obtaining my doctorate thesis I have worked as a post-doctoral researcher and visiting assistant professor in several universities and research institutes in the USA, Canada, and Europe. My research interests and activities concentrate around problems on the interface of harmonic analysis, combinatorics, and geometry, as well as functional analysis and operator theory. I am actively working on problems in the theory directional maximal and singular averages, weighted norm inequalities, andtime-frequency analysis. Currently I am employed at the University of the Basque country as an IKERBASQUE research fellow. As a member of the Analysis group at UPV/EHU and an IKERBASQUE researcher I am active as an organizer of several events (workshops, summer schools, seminars) jointly with researchers resident at the Basque Center for Applied Mathematics (BCAM) and at UPV/EHU. I have advised two PhD students (Teresa Luque, PhD 2014, IMUS and Departamento de Análisis Matemático, University of Seville, Spain, co-advised with Carlos Pérez, Natalia Accomazzo Scotti, PhD student at UPV/EHU since March 2016, co-advising with Carlos Pérez). I have taught several courses on the
