Kepa Korta is Senior Lecturer of Logic and Philosophy of Science and researcher at the Institute for Logic, Cognition, Language and Information (ILCLI). His work has been focused on the study of dialogue, the implicit/explicit distinction, and the semantics/pragmatics interface. His research fields include philosophy of language, semantics and pragmatics, philosophy of action, philosophy of mind, philosophy of art and aesthetics. He has (co-)authored 13 books and about 80 papers, in English, Basque and Spanish, in several collections and in journals such as Analysis, Disputatio, Journal of Pragmatics, Mind and Language, Philosophy and Phenomenological Research, Review of Philosophy and Psychology, Synthese, Topoi, and The Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy.



His best-known work is a book co-authored with John Perry, entitled Critical Pragmatics. An inquiry into reference and communication (Cambridge University Press, 2011). More recently he has edited with María de Ponte Reference and Representation in Thought and Language (Oxford University Press, 2017).



He is currently the coordinator of the research group on Language, Action, and Thought (category A of the Basque Government). He is also editor-in-chief of GOGOA, journal of Language, Knowledge, Communication and Action of the University of the Basque Country, entirely published in Basque.
