If you are planning to register at the EHU to study for a doctorate degree, you will need to secure your admission before travelling. To do this, you must have chosen the programme you wish to study, completed the pre-registration within the required timeframe and submitted the necessary documentation.

Pre-enrolment and admission

If you are registering at the EHU to study for a doctorate degree, the steps to follow are as follows:

1. Choose a PhD programme that interests you and find a tutor.
2. Complete the pre-registration within the specified deadlines, submitting the necessary documentation
3. Wait for the admission list to be published.
4. If your application is successful, you will need to register online, paying the required fees and attaching the necessary documentation.

Recognition and accreditation of foreign qualifications

Please note that if your degree qualifying you for entry to a doctorate programme was obtained from an institution outside the European Economic Area or Switzerland, you will need to apply for specific authorisation from the EHU’s Postgraduate Committee.
