This project aims to improve the linguistic competence by strengthening linguistic and metalinguistic awareness through a pedagogical intervention. The initial hypothesis of the research is that a multilingual pedagogical approach will stimulate the development of linguistic and metalinguistic awareness and lead to a higher level of multilingual competence than a traditional monolingual pedagogical approach that treats languages separately.
The project results, which have been presented at national and international conferences and have led to a large number of publications, indicate that the pedagogical intervention has a positive effect on the development of linguistic and metalinguistic awareness and promotes the development of multilingual competence.
