Noemí Peña-Miguel holds a PhD in Economics and Business Administration from the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU). Full Professor in the Department of Financial Economics I of the Faculty of Economics and Business of Bilbao. Extraordinary Doctorate Award 2014/2015.
Currently Director of Entrepreneurship and Transfer of the Bizkaia Campus of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) since 2018.
Accounting expert by AECA and REC.
She developed her professional career for 12 years as an administrative-financial director in companies in the service sector, combining her activity in the company with teaching in various Business Schools.
Her research activity focuses on financial information systems and sustainability in public and private entities. She has published around twenty articles in high impact journals such as Public Management Review, Social Indicators Research;Spanish Accounting Review, Poverty & Public Policy and so forth.
