Degree in Philosophy (1988) and PhD (1993) at UPV-EHU, Professor at that University since 1989. Academic Secretary of the Department of Philosophy of Values and Social Anthropology (1996-2006); Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Law (2000-2006); Impeller and co-Director of the Master in Equality of Women and Men of the UPV-EHU since its creation in 2001; Member of the Boards of Directors of GENET, EUFEM and RFDC. President of the Equality Commission of the Faculty of Law since 2014. Emakunde Award for Equality in 2018.

She is a member of the Antigone research groups and the Feminist Network of Constitutional Law (RFDC). She has directed 8 doctoral theses 3 of which have been co-directions. She teaches at different European and Latin American universities (Eugenio María de Hostos Puerto Rico; Universidad Rafael Landívar, Guatemala, Universidad Aconcagua, Chile; Universidad Primada de América, Dominican Republic...). She has participated in more than 30 research projects and is the author and co-author of many publications. She has participated as a speaker in numerous national and international congresses. Her main lines of research are: The Feminist Theory of Law, Gender Violence, Women's Political Participation and the Feminist Movement.
