I completed my Phd in Audiovisual Communication in 2010 at the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU. My dissertation looked at the filmic representations of the Lolita myth in Hollywood cinema.

Thanks to a grant from the Basque Government for the period 2011-2013 I've been a postdoctoral researcher at Queen Mary, University of London and the School of Film and Television Studies, University of East Anglia, where I got started in the fascinating world of audience studies and conducted a transnational audience study on the TV series Mad Men.

I am now a lecturer at the University of the Basque Country, and as member of the NOR research group I study the new Basque cinema, its audiences and its representations of gender.

I also write fiction in Basque language, and my work has been widely translated, check it out!
