III UPV/EHU Doctoral Conference

Image

The Doctoral School (DOKe) organises the III UPV/EHU Doctoral Conference, which will be held at the Bizkaia Aretoa in Bilbao on 6th July 2023. This is a cross-curricular activity that, on this occasion, will have a recreational/academic approach, and will include the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The title of this year's Conference is "Celebrate your doctoral research", and it will be a meeting point between doctoral students, enabling them to find out about each other's work and to celebrate their research. To do so, each attendee will bring along an item that represents their research. This item could be some kind of device or artefact, accessory, headgear or any other object that enables the person to communicate to the others what their research is about (maximum 5 minutes).

This Conference intends to provide a meeting point for doctoral students from the UPV/EHU and it aims to achieve the following objectives:

  • To publicise the research activity carried out as part of the different doctoral programmes at the UPV/EHU.
  • To encourage doctoral students to get to know each other and reflect on the social impact of their research, focusing, on this occasion, on the Sustainable Development Goals.
  • To promote an exchange of experiences and opinions between doctoral students from different areas of knowledge.
  • To highlight the importance of doctoral studies as an educational means to facilitate and improve integration into the labour market.
