Researchers not employed by the EHU
* If you are interested in undertaking a research placement at the EHU, you can contact research groups or centres linked to your field of study (EHU Contacts). Once you have found a unit willing to host you, you must ensure that you complete the necessary formalities so that your placement at the EHU can be formalised. The EHU hosts research staff in centres, laboratories or other research facilities through at least two types of procedure:
The EHU hosts pre- and post-doctoral researchers – who, at their home institutions, have a contract or similar arrangement, remuneration or a stipend – in the EHU’s centres, laboratories or other research facilities.
These stays are managed through the Vice-Rectorate for Research (Research Management Directorate).

Through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme, the EHU hosts pre- and post-doctoral staff without a contract.
These placements are managed by EHUrOPE – the International R&D Office, within the Vice-Rectorate for Research.

* If you are a PhD student enrolled at another university and wish to undertake a research stay at the EHU, you may do so within the framework of an EHU doctoral program that agrees to host you. The EHU Doctoral School manages these stays; details can be found in the "Visitors Researchers (Incoming)" section of its website.
