Academic requirements for admission to a PhD programme

Admission to doctoral programmes at the EHU Doctoral School requires prior training equivalent to a master’s degree.

Generally speaking, admission is open to those who hold an official undergraduate and master’s degree comprising at least 300 ECTS credits, as well as those who can demonstrate equivalent training, including students who are in the process of completing a master’s degree at the EHU.

Other specific cases include some formats of the degrees in Medicine, Pharmacy or Dentistry, or specialised healthcare training.

Additional training modules

Furthermore, in some cases, additional training modules may be required where prior research training is insufficient; each doctoral programme sets its own specific admission requirements.
