This project aims at studying the didactics of Basque and Occitan minority languages in schools in New Aquitaine. These languages have no official status and are often relegated to being optional in the public system, depending, at best, on a private system in which they can be taught. The current project, PYRENLANG, includes researchers from the fields of political philosophy and educational psychology, and adds the Aragonese language thanks to the collaboration of the University of Zaragoza. PYRENLANG seeks to understand the political framework that supports the teaching of these languages, as well as their didactics from the perspective of their teachers and students. 

The PYRENLANG team proposes a project in the LTC incubator call in order to provide the project with a framework of work and collaboration between the different universities and the stakeholders, in this case, teachers and students of the schools of New Aquitaine where Basque and Occitan are taught.
