Designing and Preparing a Research Publication

PhD training for today’s PhD students; tomorrow’s researchers

A Designing Research approach is used to offer two mixed-discipline practical PhD courses, the first on Designing and Building a Critical State of the Art for Research, and the second one on Designing and Preparing a Research Publication. Each course runs for eight weeks, with one three-hour class per week. Both courses will be offered at the three UPV/EHU Campuses, in Gasteiz, Leioa, and Donostia, starting in January and March, 2019, and will be conducted in English.

Group size:

A minimum of 9 students is needed to run each Workshop and each eight-week course in each Campus, and there is a maximum of 18 students in each group.

Requirements:

For the two practical courses, students will be expected to attend at least 90% of the classes.

Duration:

Each course runs for eight weeks, with one three-hour class per week (24 hours).

Cancellation:

a) if the course eventually does not run due to the lack of a minimum number of candidates (9), the initial payment will be reimbursed to each student.

b) if cancellation is individual (due to personal reasons of the candidate), the payment will NOT be reimbursed once the course has started.
