Doctoral students can undertake research stays and joint doctorates (cotutlles or double doctorates) with partner universities. 

The EHU is part of ENLIGHT; an alliance of ten European universities: Uppsala University (Sweden), University of Tartu (Estonia), University of Groningen (Netherlands), University of Göttingen (Germany),  Ghent University (Belgium), University of Galway (Ireland), Comenius University Bratislava (Slovakia), University of Bordeaux (France), University of Bern (Switzerland), and the University of the Basque Country. 

In addition, there are agreements with other universities that facilitate student exchanges. If you need information on which universities to visit, consult your thesis supervisor and your doctoral program.
