Doctoral programme admission process

Doctoral programme admission process

Resolution of the Permanent Council of 6 July 2026

During the Doctoral Programme Academic Commission Acceptance period established in the official enrolment calendar, the academic commissions may admit new pre-enrolment requests for a doctoral programme, provided that:

  • 1) there are vacant places available, following resolution by the academic commission of those admission requests presented in due time and form
  • 2) these requests comply with the access requirements and admission requirements imposed by the doctoral programme
  • 3) these requests have the approval of the academic commission.

In such cases:

first of all, the doctoral programme coordinator will send an email to the secretarial office of the doctoral programme in question to state that a new request fulfilling the 3 aforementioned requirements is being admitted. In this email, the doctoral programme coordinator will need to state the full name of the applicant and copy them into the email.

The new applicant will then send an email to the secretarial office of the doctoral programme with the documentation required to request pre-enrolment.

This resolution will not apply to any exceptional admission periods that may be opened subsequently, which are governed by their own procedure.
