We are working on solutions for a climate-neutral society, especially for a CO2-neutral and secure energy supply. For example, we are investigating next-generation solar cells, new types of batteries or catalytically active materials that enable the conversion of solar energy into chemical energy. In doing so, we thoroughly analyse the physical and chemical processes so that we can further develop these materials to reach our goals. One research focus is the development of novel catalyst materials for the production of green hydrogen. For these purpose, we are developing the CatLab research platform. The most important tool for our research is the BESSY II light source. A wide range of spectroscopic and microscopic instruments are available on about 40 beamlines to precisely analyse processes at the molecular and atomic level. |

CPP is another free program focusing on mentoring and preparing for admission and grant applications to universities in the United States. This process is very tedious and complicated, and in many cases, our students are the first generation to go to University. NYC Salt's mission is to engage, inspire, and empower youth from underserved, predominantly immigrant communities in New York City to reach their full potential and develop a sense of agency, belonging, and integrated identity through the lens of a camera. We achieve this through multi-year, sequential visual arts instruction taught by creative professionals combined with individualised mentoring, college guidance, career exploration, employment opportunities and vocational training. |

Esta red, reporta a casa matriz de Global Compact, que se encuentra en la ciudad de Nueva York, junto a la sede de ONU, desde donde se imparten las políticas y directrices. Su Directora Ejecutiva a nivel mundial, es Sanda Ojiambo, de nacionalidad keniata y cuenta con un equipo de especialistas en temáticas de sostenibilidad, de diversas nacionalidades y diferentes profesiones y expertise. Cada año se realiza una reunión mundial de todas las redes del mundo, en alguna ciudad ( 2025 en Ciudad del Cabo, 2024 en Tokio), además de una reunión regional, de América Latina y El Caribe, ( 2024 en Asunción), así como reuniones temáticas. Existen a la fecha, 210 empresas adheridas a la red chilena, que contribuyen con una membrecía anual, con lo cual se financia la operación de la red. La membrecía ha sido determinada por casa matriz en Nueva York, según tramos de facturación anual de las empresas. Mediante un convenio, se aplica un modelo financiero por el cual se adjudica una porción de los ingresos de la red, para la sede en Nueva York. |
