Industrial Technical Engineer, specializing in Industrial Electronics (1998), Industrial Organization Engineer (2007) and Doctor in Control Engineering, Automation and Robotics with mention Cum Laude (2017) by the University of the Basque Country UPV / EHU. Teacher at the UPV-EHU, since 1998 in the Department of Electronic Technology at the School of Engineering of Gipuzkoa, in the degrees of Engineering in Industrial Electronics and Automation, and Electrical Engineering (subjects of Power Electronics and Electronic Instrumentation). His doctoral thesis “Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy as a diagnostic tool in the operation and characterization of proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs)”.

He currently carries out his research activity in the BioRP research group (biorefinery processes) of the Gipuzkoa School of Engineering EIG in Donostia-San Sebastián UPV/EHU.

His lines of research are focused on experimental corrosion tests using electrochemical techniques of direct and alternating current (Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy, EIS.
