Leire Aperribai Unamuno has a degree in Philosophy and Educational Sciences from the University of Deusto and a doctorate in Clinical and Personality Psychology from the University of the Basque Country / Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea. She is currently an adjunct professor at the Faculty of Psychology of the UPV / EHU, where she teaches in the Degree in Psychology.

Her teaching activity focuses on the field of clinical psychology and her research activity is developed mainly in the area of clinical psychology, gender and high abilities. She belongs to the research group International Network for Research, Intervention and Evaluation in High Abilities (REINEVA).

Her most recent publications deal with clinical psychology and gender.
