PhD in Psychology and associate professor at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). Its main lines of research include family violence, specially child-to-parent violence, as well as immigrant mental health, social exclusion, and evaluation of programs. She is a principal investigator of family violence research group at Psychology College, and has led ten research projects on child-to-parent violence in the past ten years. An important milestone for the research team has been the design and elaboration of an innovative program called Early Intervention Program in situations of Youth-to-Parent Aggression, and the obtaining of positive evidence of its effectiveness, although the evaluation process remains ongoing. She's been a member of the editorial committee of the Journal of Family Violence since 2011. She 's been in a number of scientific settings at prestigious universities. For example, in 2009-2010, he obtained a sabbatical licence to stay at the University of California, Los Angeles, under the direction of Professor Peter M. Bentler.
