Industrial Engineer, specialized in Energy Technologies, I have always been related to the energy sector, first in the natural gas industry, and later in renewable energy. Since 2004, I am working at the university teaching and researching. Currently I am teaching at the degree of Renewable Energy Engineering at the University of the Basque Country.

My main research work so far has been directed to renewable energy integration in buildings, and thermal energy storage in phase change materials. In the last years, I have also started to research on the energy transition process from a technical point of view, and also from the point of view of energy policies: evaluation of renewable energy potential using GIS, energetic metabolism analysis, local energy transition policies, fuel poverty, and social conflicts related to energy.
