Degree in Economics (1990) and PhD in Economics (1999) at the UPV/EHU, where she has been teaching since 1991 and currently holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Economic Analysis.

She started her research activity in the field of the labour market, specifically in education. Her doctoral thesis focused on the two stages of the process of investing in education: the first one when the individual decides how much to invest and the second one in which she collects the returns on that investment. Afterwards, she began her collaboration with other authors, broadening her research interest to fields such as industrial economics, where she has published on patent licensing mechanisms, and also to the field of economic growth. She has a six-year period as a researcher, recognised by the CNEAI and throughout her research career she has participated in 20 research projects.

She teaches Economic Theory and she has taught undergraduate courses in both Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. At the same time, she has participated in educational innovation projects collaborating with members of other departments with the aim of improving the active and autonomous learning of the student.
