NORA ARANBERRI MONASTERIO

Nora Aranberri is associate professor at the Department of English and German Philology and Translation and Interpreting at the Faculty of Arts. After completing her translation studies, she obtained her PhD funded by the Irish Government’s Innovation Partnerships industry-academia scholarship programme doing joint work at Dublin City University and Symantec Ltd. In 2012, she joined the IXA natural language processing research group (UPV/EHU) as a Mari Curie postdoctoral researcher. Her main field of research is machine translation and specifically focuses on studying the role of linguistic knowledge in such systems, as well as in their evaluation and use.
