Graduate (1988) and PhD (2000) in Computer science.

Member of the IXA research Group on Natural Language Processing. I have participated in research projects, developing applications that process texts robustly, efficiently and with high precision and coverage.

I work on artificial intelligence, in morphological, syntactic and semantic processing of Basque, Spanish and English. I also work on the application of linguistic and statistical techniques to the processing of medical texts.

I review papers on high quality journals and conferences as EMNLP, NAACL-HLT, and COLING.

Teaching proficiency in Spanish, English and Basque. Three positive research evaluations from the Spanish Ministry of Education. Directed PhD theses: 4.
