My name is Iñigo Martínez de Alegría Mancisidor and I am a PhD in Sciences, Physics Section, since 2012, with mention of "International Doctor" and winner of the "GL Garrad Hassan Global PhD Award in Renewable Energy 2012". Before joining the university, I was part of the Control Engineering department of the IKERLAN Technology Center and the AZTERLAN metallurgical laboratory. In 1999 I joined the UPV/EHU as a part-time Collaborating Professor, and from 2000 full-time in the area of Electronic Technology. Today I am Associate Professor of the Electronic Technology Department of the UPV-EHU.
I have participated in more than 50 research projects and I have been the principal investigator in 14 of them, both for private companies and for the public sector. I have directed 3 doctoral theses, and another two that are in progress, financed by the Basque Government and the UPV/EHU. On the other hand, I have been the author or co-author of more than 25 articles in indexed journals, more than 70 conference papers and 3 patents. I have 3 six-year research and one transfer period. I also have the accreditation of Full Professor.
Since its creation, I have been part of the APERT group (https://www.ehu.eus/es/web/apert/inicio ), made up of 15 professors (of which 14 are doctors) from the Department of Electronic Technology of the UPV/ EHU, 4 predoctoral fellows and 1 contracted researcher.
