Aitziber Atutxa has been an associate professor at the University of the Basque Country since 2018 and has 1 six-year term and 19 years of teaching experience (3 five-year terms).
She has a degree in Computer Science (1995). He obtained scholarships from the Basque Government to carry out studies of interest to the CAPV (University of Maryland at College Park) and later another scholarship from the Basque Government to carry out predoctoral studies. In 2001 he obtained a double master's degree in Theoretical and Computational Linguistics from the University of Maryland in College Park and joined the IXA research group. In 2002 she began working as a professor in the LSI Department of the Higher Technical School of Engineers of Bilbao. In 2014 she obtained the title of Doctor in Computer Science at the UPV/EHU.
His research is framed within automatic natural language processing (NLP). She is co-author of more than 30 publications, including 8 high-impact JCR articles. She is a regular reviewer for international magazines. He is also a member of the steering committee of the Spanish Association of Natural Language Processing (SEPLN). He has participated in different regional research projects, as well as in research projects at the state level. He currently participates in the state-level work team DOTT-HEALTH and ANTIDOTE (a CHIST-ERA INT-International Joint Programming Actions project) and is PI of a state EDHER-MED project.
